We look for tutors with a strong background in their subject area and experience in teaching or tutoring. Typically, we require a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field or teaching experience, but specific qualifications may vary by subject and level.

While teaching experience is preferred, it is not always mandatory. We welcome tutors who have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping students succeed. Relevant experience in mentoring, coaching, or other educational roles is also valuable.

The application review process typically takes between 1-2 weeks, depending on the number of applications we receive. After a successful application review and any required interview, new tutors usually complete onboarding within a few days.

Tutors can set their own availability in our scheduling system, and our team can book sessions based on those available times. You’ll have flexibility to decide when and how many hours you’d like to work.

Our platform frequently receives high demand for Math, Science, English, and test prep tutoring (such as SAT and EmSAT), but this can vary. Additionally, subjects like AP and IB courses, coding, and language tutoring are also popular among students.

Tutors are compensated on a per-session basis. Rates vary based on factors like subject, experience, and student level. Payments are typically processed bi-weekly or monthly via direct deposit or other electronic payment methods.

Our platform has a cancellation policy that protects tutors in the event of last-minute cancellations. If a student cancels within 24 hours of a scheduled session, you may receive partial or full compensation based on our cancellation policy.

Yes, we offer onboarding and training resources for new tutors to help you understand our platform, policies, and best practices for effective tutoring sessions. Ongoing training and professional development resources are also available to support your growth.

We offer both online and in-person tutoring options depending on your preference and location. Online tutoring allows tutors to work with students from any location, while in-person sessions are typically arranged for local tutors.

While some tutors prefer using their own resources, we also provide a range of tools, materials, and resources that tutors can access and use in their sessions. You’re welcome to incorporate additional materials if they benefit the student.

Absolutely! Our platform offers opportunities for top-performing tutors to take on additional responsibilities, such as mentorship roles, lead tutoring positions, or content creation. Exceptional tutors may also qualify for higher pay rates and priority scheduling.
